[WELCOME TO THE AZIM STEPPE. perhaps you're there from a different ~~instance~~ timeline, or perhaps not. either way, there's a warrior of light xaela here who is sitting on the edge of the Dawn Throne, legs dangling off the cliff as she looks down over the Dotharl land. She's pretty conflicted! she also is dressed like a weirdo, and barefoot. And there's a rapier at her side, embedded in the ground so she can draw it quickly without it getting in the way while she sits.]

What a right pain this all is... They'll have the next me's head for this.

You are another wanderer?

A little more...structured than that, but yes. The Weaver's Guild and other guilds in the city will hire adventurers to guard their cargo, but sometimes there aren't any around who want to take the job.

[Thoughtfully:]

There usually aren't, actually. Something about escorting cargo not being what they became adventurers for. Either way, if I don't have any students or if I have students who want some field work, they'll hire me.

[She snorts dismissively.]

Have you been to Limsa Lominsa? Hard to get bored of pirates and sailors, at least quickly.

I have. Crude and crass, full of braggarts whose words are far grander than their skills. Worst of all when I first arrived.

Not if you give the place a chance. I wouldn't go towards Coerthas if I were you, though. They don't take particularly well to anyone remotely draconic in appearance.

No one tells Ibakha where she may not go. Should they take issue with my appearance, I will teach them their foolishness.

Are those ears mere decorations? I am Dotharl, born to Dotharl Khaa. But I am Ibakha Wanderer, Ibakha No-Home, whose feet have touched the entire world. I am 'from' nowhere and everywhere.

Which doesn't answer my question. Where were you born? Where are your people from?

As many times as it takes you to realize that those words mean nothing to me, because they are not on any map of Eorzea I've ever seen.

The only actions I've seen from you are harassing a neophyte and some admittedly impressive use of red magic. Besides, I don't like wasting my aether, especially not outside of a city.
